Why eSIM?

Land, scan, connect — skip the roaming trap

A physical SIM means hunting for a shop, swapping cards, and losing your number abroad. An eSIM lives on your phone — buy before you fly, keep your own number for calls, and pay local data rates instead of brutal roaming bills. One scan and you're online the moment you land.

Questions?

Frequently asked questions

What is an eSIM?

A digital SIM you activate by scanning a QR code emailed after purchase. No physical SIM needed — switch between countries without swapping cards while paying local data rates. Read the complete beginner guide ›

Is my device eSIM compatible?

Dial *#06# — if you see a 32-digit EID, your device supports eSIM. Supported: iPhone XR/XS and newer, Pixel 4+, Samsung Galaxy S20+ / Z Fold/Flip / Note 20+. Locked phones and devices from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau are not supported.

How will I receive my eSIM?

By email. Copy the redemption code, visit esimexchange.com to convert it to a QR code, then scan it with your phone to activate.

When should I install it?

Anytime, but best on Wi-Fi in your destination country (not at the airport). Validity days start once the eSIM activates on a supported network.

Can I keep my existing SIM?

Yes — keep your normal SIM active alongside the eSIM. Only one eSIM can be bound and active per phone at a time.
